TRANSPORTATION WHEELS OF HOPE
Project Rozana’s ‘Wheels of Hope’ program provides seamless transportation for critically ill Palestinian patients (mostly children), for treatment in Israeli hospitals. This free service uses dedicated Palestinian and Israeli volunteer drivers who travel daily from homes to checkpoints, hospitals and back.
In 2019 Wheels of Hope drivers undertook over 30,000 patient transfers and covered more than 1,500,000 kms.
Wheels of Hope is as much about the recovery of trust and mutual respect between Israelis and Palestinians, as about physical recovery from illness.
ISRAEL, ROAD TO RECOVERY
